John William Scharres, 86, of Clarendon Hills died Sunday in Hinsdale Hospital. Born in Chicago, Mr. Scharres was an engineer. Survivors include his wife, Mary; and a brother, Edward. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Elliston Funeral Home, 1st and Grant Streets, Hinsdale. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Notre Dame Catholic Church, 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills.
