I see that in the Tribune when Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) announces his candidacy for mayor of Chicago, it runs on Page 1 of the Metro section (Nov. 24). When Mayor Daley proclaims his candidacy for re-election, it’s a prominent article on the front page (Dec. 8).

This does not seem like fair, even-handed treatment to me. Is this what we should expect from the Tribune in this mayoral campaign–the incumbent on the front page and the challenger buried in Section 2?

C’mon, isn’t it the responsibility of the press to treat each candidate fairly and impartially?
