John Patrick “Jack” McHugh, 85, of Downers Grove died Tuesday in Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. Born in DePere, Wis., Mr. McHugh was an employee of General Electric. Survivors include his wife, Helen; three sons, John, Edmund and Michael; four daughters, Patricia Kelly, Kathleen Matchen, Judith Shallat and Victoria Boughey; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until services at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York St., Elmhurst. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 16th Street and Summit Avenue, Oakbrook Terrace.
