Glenn Adler, 45, a father of two and a longtime resident of McHenry County, died Saturday in an apparent drowning near his Lake Killarney home in unincorporated Cary. Mr. Adler was born in Chicago and raised in Cary. He graduated from Cary-Grove High School in 1971, then took college courses for two years. Mr. Adler was employed as a mechanic with the Macomb public schools for several years. His favorite hobby was building model rockets. Mr. Adler is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth; a son, Stephen; his mother, Lucille; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
