Joseph “Joe” Jania, 89, of Aurora and formerly of Countryside and Port Charlotte, Fla., died Tuesday in his home. Born in Chicago, Mr. Jania was a tool and die maker. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and St. Irene Catholic Church in Warrenville. Survivors include his wife, Irene E.; three sons, Joseph M., Ronald and John M.; a daughter, Diana Pierce; a sister, Fay Becvarik; a brother, Henry “Hank”; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Friedrich-Jones Funeral home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Irene Catholic Church, 28 W 531 Warrenville Rd., Warrenville.
