Preconstruction sales are under way at Summit Chase at the Wheatlands in far west suburban Aurora with two models scheduled to open in spring.

The community will include 84 semi-custom single-family homes base-priced from $215,900 to $256,300. Ten floor plans range from 2,280 to 3,000 square feet and lots are 1/4 acre to 1/3 acre.

The two-story designs typically include four or five bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, breakfast areas, family rooms, dens, and attached two- or three-car garages.

Standard features include vaulted ceilings, depending on the plan; central air conditioning; 9-foot first-floor ceilings; fireplaces with gas log lighters; hardwood flooring; and basements.

A temporary sales center is open within Summit Development’s model at The Reserve at the Wheatlands, located at the intersection of Eola Road and 87th Street. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For information, call 630-978-2548.

– Four inventory homes are available for immediate occupancy at Delacourte Condominiums, a Focus Development community of 136 condos in four mid-rise buildings in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove.

The four inventory homes in Phase I are base-priced from $155,600 to $231,500 and range from 1,211 to 1,770 square feet. Each features two bedrooms, two baths, a balcony and parking.

The largest of the inventory homes is the 1,770-square-foot Evian. It includes a family room with fireplace and kitchen with built-in double oven, gas cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Other features include a breakfast area and master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and private bath with double-bowl vanity and separate shower and tub. The Evian is a corner unit priced from $231,500.

Delacourte offers a secured lobby with intercom system, basement storage and one heated garage parking space with each unit.

– Sales are approaching closeout at Gotham Lofts Chicago, a condominium development at 400 S. Clinton St. with 15 of its 188 units remaining for sale.

All the remaining homes face north and offer city views through two bays of windows. Remaining two-bedrooms are base-priced from $110,000 to $280,000.

Lofts in Phase II, of which nine are left, have two full baths and ceiling heights of up to 15 feet. Living areas range from 771 to 1,442 square feet. Floor plans have curved or angled walls; fireplaces; wood floors in the kitchen, living and dining areas; and a balcony or patio.

Each residence also includes a kitchen, with all appliances, opening to a living room/dining room; floor-to-ceiling windows; and exposed brick walls. Baths have ceramic-tile floors and shower surrounds.

Kitchens are equipped with cooking island, General Electric appliances, including a frost-free refrigerator with icemaker, self-cleaning gas range, microwave, dishwasher, a double-bowl stainless steel sink, laminate countertops, and choice of wood or laminated cabinetry.

Fifield Realty Corp., the developer, has slated first move-ins for April.

– Five condominiums, including one furnished model, remain for purchase at Waterford Place of Wheaton, a Norwood Builders community of 110 condos in that western suburb.

The remaining homes have two or three bedrooms, two baths, a private balcony and range from 1,428 to 1,798 square feet. They are base-priced from $180,700 to $250,000.

Standard amenities include indoor heated parking and storage, individually controlled heating and air-conditioning and an intercom security system.

Monthly assessments, ranging from $126.93 to $159.66, coversradiant heat, hot and cold water, cooking gas, parking, exterior maintenance, snow shoveling and refuse removal.

Waterford Place is located in downtown Wheaton on West and Front Streets across from the commuter train station.

– Elliott Homes is expanding its lineup at Delaine Farm of Morton Grove by adding an eighth single-family floor plan and two town-home plans to its five existing designs. The community will include 51 single-family homes and 31 duplex town homes.

The 3,176-square-foot Inverness single-family plan has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It has a family room, den, breakfast room and first-floor laundry room. It is priced from $449,900.

The 1,837-square-foot Fairview has two bedrooms and a loft and 2 1/2 baths. It is priced from $269,900. The 2,159-square-foot Grove has three or four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, priced from $289,900. The Grove has a first-floor master suite and both designs include great rooms.

The eight single-family plans at Delaine Farm range from 2,310 to 3,558 square feet and are base-priced from $415,900 to $489,900.

The seven town home designs range from 1,791 to 2,713 square feet, and are base-priced from $269,900 to $354,900.

Standard features in both types of homes include 9-foot first-floor ceilings, masonry woodburning fireplaces, full basements, central air conditioning, ceramic tile or oak flooring in selected areas, and 2-, 2 1/2- or 3-car garages. Master baths have Jacuzzi tubs and separate showers.

– Sales are under way and an on-site sales center has opened at Prairie View Estates at Fisher Farms, a D.R. Custom Homes community in west suburban Geneva.

D.R. Horton is building 73 single-family homes in one of seven neighborhoods at Fisher Farms.

Nine one- and two-story floor plans range from 2,441 to 3,418 square feet and are base-priced from $288,900 to $333,900. They include three or four bedrooms, two to 3 1/2 baths, and two- or three-car garages, depending on the plan. Lots range from one-third to one-half acre.

Standard features include 9-foot first-floor ceilings, volume ceilings, and ceramic tile or oak flooring in foyers.
