On Jan. 3, my husband was driving through Portage, Wis., on Interstate Highway 90 near exit 108 after bringing our son back to college. At about 10:40 p.m., our van hit some black ice and flipped over, landing on the driver’s side.
Our profuse thanks to the truck driver who saw the accident, apparently called for help, helped my husband out of the van and directed traffic away from the accident area. Upon arrival of police and emergency crews, the trucker left without my husband learning his identity. We are very grateful to him.
