Ray Curby, of West Chicago died Tuesday in DuPage County Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Mr. Curby lived in West Chicago for the past 33 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He retired in 1990 from Motorola after 20 years as a technician. He was part-owner of Wheaton Cab for 18 years. After his retirement, he worked part time at Murphy Hardware in West Chicago. A veteran, he served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Kevin and Jeffrey; a daughter, Kristi Pokornowski; three sisters, Florence Miller, Evie and Emmie Johnson; and seven grandchildren. Prayers will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Norris-Walen Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago, followed by a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 140 N. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago.
