Just a point of information regarding the Feb. 1 editorial “Bringing the country back to Cook,” which dealt with the issue of holding a county fair in Orland Park. There was a comment made about a dearth of 4-H Clubs in Cook County. The 4-H program is alive and well in Cook County, involving more than 50,000 children in the county.
Although these children are not all involved in what many consider the “traditional” agricultural 4-H programs, they are involved in newer 4-H programs, such as leadership, conflict resolution and other living skills programs.
