Walter Johnson, 86, of Batavia, and formerly of Chicago, died Monday in Aurora Manor Health Care Center in Aurora. A Chicago native, Mr. Johnson was a carpenter. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and traveling to the North Woods in Wisconsin. He is survived by a sister, Myrtle Cowen. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, at Illinois Highway 31 and Main Street, Batavia. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
