It sounds like Dr. George Lundberg, former editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association, is describing nothing more than the typical life of an editor of any trade publication (“Ex-editor blasts AMA interference,” Page 1, Feb. 17). If all Lundberg had to do to “scare off threatening forces” was say the content of JAMA wasn’t their concern, what’s his complaint? It’s got to be much worse for the editor of a daily newspaper or a mass circulation magazine. I took more abuse as editor of a sales publication for a large manufacturer. Sounds to me like Mr. Lundberg needs a whine-ectomy.
