Earl John Mann, 94, of Batavia died Sunday in Michaelsen Care Center in Batavia. Mr. Mann graduated from Batavia High School in 1922, and the University of Illinois in 1930. He was a registered professional engineer and worked for various areas of the federal government, including the National Park Service and the Department of Housing and Urban Renewal. He had been a Master Mason since 1948, a member of Unity Lodge 48 and the St. Charles Golden K Kiwanis Club. He also was active with the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his two sons, Robert and Dr. Douglas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. 3rd St., St. Charles.
