Marion E. Pedley, 77, a retired Commonwealth Edison employee and former Chicago-area resident, died Friday in his home in Ft. Collins, Colo. Mr. Pedley grew up in Chicago and graduated from Carl Schurz High School. He served in the Navy during World War II and was in the Naval Reserves for 14 years. Mr. Pedley began working for Commonwealth Edison before the war and returned afterward, said his wife of 50 years, Patricia. Mr. Pedley and his wife moved to Colorado after his retirement in 1987 to be closer to their children. The couple remained loyal to Chicago sports teams. “I’m still a Bears fan, so was he–and the Cubs and the Bulls,” Patricia Pedley said. Mr. Pedley is also survived by a son, John; two daughters, Mary Pekara and Jeanine Emory; and six grandchildren. Mass will be said Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ft. Collins.
