Two teenagers accused of plotting to kill students and teachers at Burlington High School pleaded no contest to reduced charges late Thursday and won’t go on trial.

The alleged ringleader in the plot reached a plea deal at a hearing that ended just a couple of hours after an agreement was reached for the other teen.

Both pleaded no contest in juvenile court to a reduced charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

The judge ordered that the accused ringleader be detained pending a hearing March 18.

A third teen still faces a juvenile-court charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

The three boys, all 16, were taken into custody Nov. 15 after police received a tip to a scheme to steal guns, take over the high school and kill selected students and educators who had picked on the suspects.
