Thomas Jeschke, 81, a retired tool- and-die maker, died Sunday in Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lake Villa. Mr. Jeschke, a longtime Grayslake resident, worked for the Johnson Motors Division of Outboard Marine Corp. in Waukegan for more than 30 years. “Soon after he retired, his wife, Doris, became ill, and he tended to her for nearly a decade until she passed away in 1987,” said Jim Mateja, his son-in-law. During World War II, Mr. Jeschke served in Europe as a member of the Army Tank Corps. Mr. Jeschke is survived by two daughters, Susan Mateja and Beverly Allen; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters; and a brother. Services will be private.
