Question: Is there a way to get the e-mail addresses of other people if I don’t know them?
You can try searching e-mail white-page directories, such as Yahoo!’s People Search (people.yahoo.com) or Bigfoot (www.bigfoot.com). Or, if you know a friend has the same e-mail provider as you, sometimes you can find an address through it. For example, if you’re on AOL, click the People icon in the tool bar and then click “Search AOL Member Directory.” If your friend has created a profile, you should find him or her there.
