Philip Schwimmer (Voice, March 14) missed part of the dictionary lesson in incorrectly “correcting” the term from Y2K bug to Y2M bug.
More than the abbreviation for King (chess), strikeout (baseball) or kilo, “K” is also a computer technology expression for the number thousand. Regardless, using the Roman numeral M for 1000 would have rendered YMM–less catchy than Y2K. (Bah-YMM Bug?!)
