James E. Nichol, 53, a lifelong resident of Elgin and a U.S. Navy veteran, died Monday in Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle. He was a former employee of the Continental Can Co. Survivors include his parents, Benjamin and Phyllis; two sisters, Kay Marks and Sue Meyer; and two brothers, John and David. Services were held Thursday.
