Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I largely agree with Skip Bayless’ points about Notre Dame overall (Tribune, March 25). I’m a diehard fan, but even I tire of them constantly mishandling things in a very public way.

However, I couldn’t disagree with him more about one aspect: Athletic Director Mike Wadsworth is not a victim, he’s part of the problem. He should resign not because his superiors make him look foolish, but because he mishandles everything he touches, including driving Lou Holtz out, the Gary Barnett thing, keeping John MacLeod around for so long and now the Majerus thing. Wadsworth deserves some of the blame for being totally clueless about what is important to his bosses.

The priests will be priests. But how we long for the Krause, Corrigan, Rosenthal days at the AD level.
