Sales and construction are under way at Clocktower Condominiums in northwest suburban Mt. Prospect.

The six-story elevator building by Norwood Builders will have 50 condominiums adjacent to the Clocktower Shopping Center on Wille Street between Northwest Highway and Central Road.

This is the third and last building planned in the downtown Mt. Prospect complex. The other two are completed.

In this building, floors 2 through 5 will be residential. The first level and a basement are planned for heated indoor parking.

Nine floor plans are available ranging from 857 to 1,640 square feet in one-, two- or two-bedroom-plus-den configurations with one or two baths.

Base prices range from $144,900 to $244,900 including at least one heated parking space. Some units have two parking spaces.

Amenities include gourmet kitchens.

First occupancies are schedule for late 1999.

– Nine town homes are among the residences available for immediate occupancy at Burnside Station, a maintenance-free, multifamily community by Burnside Homes in south suburban Mokena.

Among the available models are six residences with two and three levels. They range in price from $145,100 for the Casey Jones model with 1,576 square feet to $194,549 for the Illinois Central model with 1,727 square feet of living space.

The Casey Jones plan has a great room, finished lower level and two-car garage.

– Two furnished models have opened at The Greens of Turnberry, a 54-homesite golf course community by Residential Homes of America Inc. in northwest suburban Lakewood.

The Driftwood is a four-bedroom, 3 1/2 bath plan with 2,965 square feet of living space, front porch, brick exterior and side-load, three-car garage with a base price of $271,990.

The Hawthorne is a contemporary four-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home with first-floor den, three-car garage, deck and two-story family room. The residence has 3,250 square feet of living space with a base price of $295,990.

– “Hard hat” tours are available by appointment for three townhouse models and four manor home models under construction at Fairfield Villages on Long Lake in Round Lake Beach.

Developed by Kenar LLC, the project is expected to include 585 homes in three neighborhoods on 152 acres upon completion. The neighborhoods are planned for 220 manor homes, 240 condominiums and 125 townhouses.

The two manor home designs have 1,002 or 1,067 square feet and include two bedrooms, two baths, patio, utility room and attached garage, priced from $94,900 to $99,900.

Three townhouse designs range in size from 1,038 to 1,246 square feet and have base prices ranging from $104,900 to $113,900. The units have two bedrooms or two bedrooms and a den, 1 1/2 baths and attached garage.

Condominiums have base prices ranging from $74,400 to $88,400. They are grouped in three-story elevator buildings with 24 units each. There are eight floor plans.

To visit, take Illinois Highway 12 to Illinois Highway 120. Proceed west on Ill. 120 for two miles to Fairfield Road. Turn north on Fairfield and proceed three miles to the community.

– The Preserve of WindDance Valley in northwest suburban Lake Villa has added the Pinehurst, a 2,585-square-foot floor plan with a base price of $214,990, to its single-family home offerings.

The new plan has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, basement and attached two-car garage and can be built in this neighborhood by William Ryan Homes.

To visit, take Illinois Highway 132 (Grand Avenue) west to Cedar Lake Road. Proceed south to the sales center.
