My friends send me e-mails with sideways smiley faces. How can I do that?
Those smiles and frowns, composed of typed squiggles, are called emoticons. It’s a kind of e-mail shorthand to express your feelings. (The basic smiley is made by typing a colon, hyphen and parenthesis… :- ).
