WILMETTE–I agree with Brian Snell of Kalamazoo that Channel Surfing is sorely missed. Printing all the talk show details contributes to the “dumbing down” of the populace. Isn’t printing the soaps info enough!

The courage to be critical
SCHAUMBURG–Please pass along my thanks to Steve Johnson for his article on Suze Orman (Tempo, March 10). It’s vital that thoughtful, intelligent and humorous opinion be offered by the media writers such as Steve, especially with regard to self-appointed (and Oprah-annointed) pop thinkers and self-help gurus.
“The Courage To Be Rich.” Imagine! Her use of the word diminishes its meaning.
