Lucent contract: Lucent Technologies Inc. said it received a $780 million contract from Sprint Corp. for equipment and services to expand the Sprint PCS wireless operation. The equipment and services will enable Sprint PCS to expand coverage and increase network capacity, Lucent said. The three-year agreement includes code division multiple access network infrastructure equipment and services.
