If bombing alone were an effective means of achieving victory, England would have surrendered to Nazi Germany in 1941, we would have won the Korean conflict by 1950, Vietnam would have been our glorious victory and Saddam Hussein would be but a memory.

I don’t see our bombing of Yugoslavia producing any positive results. We condemn Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic for killing Kosovar civilians, but our bombs are killing Serbian civilians. These people have been warring against each other for 600 years; 600 years from now, the fight will probably still go on.

Let’s pack up our weapons and go home. We have no business butting into their civil war.
