Pasquinelli Inc. unveiled plans Wednesday night for a 750-unit residential project to be built on one of the last big parcels of undeveloped land in western Hoffman Estates.
The Homewood-based company submitted a preliminary plat of subdivision and a rezoning request to the Hoffman Estates Plan Commission. The project would be developed on the north and south sides of Shoe Factory Road west of Beverly and Rohrson Roads.
Kurt Wandrey, general manager of Pasquinelli, said the development would have 91 single-family homes on 12,000-square-foot lots; 276 single-family homes on 7,500-square-foot lots; 227 townhouses for first-time buyers, and 156 townhouses for the older, “active adult” market.
Prices would range from $135,000 for entry-level townhouses to $350,000 for the largest single-family homes. The project also would have 20 acres of commercial/retail development, 50 acres of park and open space and a 10-acre school site to be donated to Elgin-based School District U-46.
Pasquinelli hopes to begin sales next spring, Wandrey said.
