Birthday: Nov. 19, 1963.
Birthplace: Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Occupation: Actress.
Current home: Hollywood.
Marital status: Single.
Car: A green 1993 SC 300 Lexus.
Working on: I play Reggie on “Becker” on CBS-TV.
The last good movie I saw: “All About Eve.” It’s so amazing–the writing, the direction, everything.
The book I’ve been reading: “Simple Abundance” (Warner) by Sarah Ban Breathnach.
Favorite pigout food: Real rum raisin, vanilla or coffee ice cream.
Favorite performer: Meryl Steep.
Prized possession: Billy and Ramona, my dogs. They’re both mixed breeds.
Personal heroes: My mom, my grandmother and my sister. They gave me good examples of strong women. My grandmother was a nurse-practitioner with Planned Parenthood. My mom decided to go to college when she was in her mid-30s. My sister has three kids and she’s a great mom. She’s so grounded. She’s Mother Earth to me.
People always think I’m: Lately, it’s Lara Flynn Boyle, which is weird. I’m just shy of 6 feet and she’s really tiny. It used to be Brooke Shields.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Housecleaning.
I’d give anything to meet: Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. They seem like the coolest couple. They each have their own life in addition to being married. It’s what I would want my life to be like if I got married. I also like that they’re philanthropists. They find different ways to give back and create.
My fantasy is: I’m Guinevere in King Arthur’s Court, but I’m smart enough not to marry King Arthur, to just go for Sir Lancelot.
If I’ve learned one thing in life it’s: Tell the truth. Then you don’t have to remember anything.
Most humbling experience: Realizing after the series “Paper Dolls” was canceled that I would have to go on auditions again and I was starting over. I didn’t realize actors have to audition all the time. Nobody knows who you are.
The three words that best describe me: Honest, reliable and sensitive.
