I don’t recall articles taking a hand-wringing, what’s-the-world-coming-to? tone when a talented electrical-engineering undergrad leaves school early for Netscape or Microsoft (or to start Netscape of Microsoft; I don’t remember if Bill Gates got his undergrad degree).
Ask your columnists to read the business section more often.
