A man already charged with committing a sexual assault in the South Loop area was named Thursday in a second attack after the victim identified him in a lineup, Chicago police said.
Randy Brown, 35, of the 100 block of South Green Street, who is being held in the Cook County Jail on $500,000 bond, has been identified in police lineups by the victims of the two attacks, which occurred on April 8 and April 24, according to Harrison Area Detective Cmdr. John Kozaritz.
Brown was arrested earlier this month after police watched him follow a woman who was walking to a Metra train station. Since his arrest, DNA samples obtained from the victims have been linked to Brown, Kozaritz said.
Both victims were assaulted in a South Loop park, police said.
