William Jacobs, 73, of Mt. Prospect died Monday in his home. Born in Chicago, Mr. Jacobs served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise during World War II. He was a retired accountant and moved to Mt. Prospect in 1991. “He was a very warm and loving person,” recalled his daughter Christine. Other survivors include his wife of 47 years, Theresa; another daughter, Jill Hoff; three sisters, Marie Richer, Sally Steiner and Wilma Weel; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Raymond de Penafort Catholic Church, 301 S. I-Oka Ave., Mt. Prospect.
