The adverse reaction to the strip “The Boondocks” is surprising (Tempo, May 26).

It’s the most intelligent strip since Bloom County/Outland and challenges racism the same way Pogo challenged politics. It’s not a racist strip or a white-bashing strip; it is intelligent satire on both the races, and it points out many of the stereotypes and other beliefs that are in all of our neighborhoods.
