Tucked away in the June 22 Metro section was the announcement of the death of Northbrook Fire Department’s assistant chief, Wayne Luecht. Assistant Chief Luecht died from injuries received in an explosion that occurred at the Northbrook Court Shopping Center on June 11.
The Tribune dedicates an entire section to men who throw baseballs and dribble basketballs on a daily basis; yet a man who was killed and died a hero receives less coverage than the Cubs ’70s night featuring the Village People. Shame on you.
