Herbert J. Choice, 86, the retired president, chief executive officer and chairman of Chicago Mutual Liability Co. and a former resident of Elmhurst and Hinsdale, died Saturday in Beacon Hill retirement home in Lombard. Born in Chicago, Mr. Choice graduated from Loyola University, Chicago, and Kent College of Law. He also was a past general counsel for the Chicago District Ice Association, a former board chairman of Hinsdale Federal Savings and Loan Association and a past vice president of Chicago Rotary One Club. Survivors include two sons, Douglas and Michael; a sister, Hilda Anderson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were private.
