Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Though Kathleen Parker’s columns are reliably simplistic, self-righteous and silly, the one in the July 7 Tribune (“America is home, sweet home,” Commentary) was even more inane than usual.
An outline:
1. She went to France. She liked France.
2. Americans are nice.
As with her past columns, I failed to find any sign of a unifying thread, a punch line or even a point.
The Tribune should allot Parker’s space to someone who actually has something to say and can write it in a persuasive and intelligent fashion.
