– Jekyll & Hyde Club, a horror-themed, family-oriented restaurant concept, is scheduled to open Thursday at 43 E. Ohio St. The two-story Jekyll & Hyde (the New York original is four stories) resembles a gothic mansion, with individually themed rooms and performers dressed as mad scientists and the like. There’s a walk-through attraction (separate admission), a retail space and — oh, yes — a menu of salads, pastas, pizzas and full entrees. 312-644-9900.

– Dudley Nieto has opened Chapultepec, 700 N. Dearborn St.; the contemporary Mexican restaurant, named for a park in Mexico City (the name literally means “mountain of grasshoppers”), emphasizes organic ingredients. 312-787-8937.

– Jean Banchet won’t reopen Le Francais until mid-September, but already he’s making the culinary rounds. He’ll guest with chefs John Hogan and Joe Doppes at a welcome-back dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Savarin, 713 N. Wells St. Cost is $100; 312-255-9520.

– Racing driver Mario Andretti is also a vintner; he’ll be in town to showcase his wines in a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bella Vista, 1001 W. Belmont Ave. Cost is $70. 773-404-0111.

– Crayfish will head the menu from 5-11 p.m. Friday at Ann Sather Restaurant, 929 W. Belmont Ave.; the menu will include 1- and 2-pound crayfish boil dinners, crayfish etouffee and crayfish pie. Dinners range from $9.95-$12.95. 773-348-2378.

– The culture and food of the Dominican Republic will be on display Wednesday through Aug. 22 in Boulevard Restaurant in Hotel Inter-Continental, 505 N. Michigan Ave. Lunch and dinner buffets, $14.95 and $19.95, will be served from noon-2 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. daily; there also will be a Dominican brunch on Aug. 22 for $28.50. 312-321-8888.
