Ruth C. Rice, 88, of Elmhurst died Monday in her home. Born in Bluffton, Ind., Mrs. Rice was a homemaker. She also was a member of the Piece Makers and the Elmhurst Garden Club. Survivors include a son, James; a daughter, Barbara Schwarz; a sister, Margaret Jane Vinnedge; and five grandchildren. Services were Thursday.
