Wilbert Moehling, 91, formerly of Mt. Prospect, died Friday at Sarina’s, a retirement community in Lake Geneva, Wis. Mr. Moehling worked as a crane and heavy equipment operator for more than 50 years at various companies. He helped build warplanes in the 1940s at Douglas Field, where O’Hare International Airport is now located. Mr. Moehling eventually moved to Lake Geneva. Survivors include a daughter, Delores Dase; a son, Kenneth; a sister, Helen Schalk; and five grandchildren. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
