Wilfred Blake, 81, a farmer and former member of the McHenry school board, died Saturday in Valley Hi Nursing Home in Hartland, Ill. Mr. Blake was born in McHenry and had been a farmer in the area for most of his life. Mr. Blake was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in McHenry, the McHenry Catholic Order of Foresters and the McHenry Farm Bureau. Survivors include three daughters, Jane Bastian, Jean Thompson and Linda Hill; five sons, Wilfred Jr., Ronald, Lawrence, David and Jeffrey; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 1401 N. Richmond Rd., McHenry.
