I wanted to write a letter to thank the people of Chicago for a wonderful experience my family had last weekend during the LaSalle Banks Chicago Marathon. I’ve been training for the pastsix months to run my first marathon, and I selected Chicago as the site. What a wonderful and memorable event this was, and I will never forget the hospitality and the first-class job the volunteers and the fans showed us during this special trip. I completed the marathon and at the same time had my love of this city renewed after being raised in the nearby state of Indiana. Thank you for a glorious and well-run event, and thank you for the wonderful memories of my first marathon.
