Current home: Orlando.
Marital status: Married to Marci Gumbel since 1976.
Children: Michelle, 30.

Favorite meal: Steak and french fries.
Favorite performers: The Rolling Stones. If I had been ugly and skinny I would have been one of them.
Prized possession: An electric guitar autographed by them.
Personal hero: My dad. He was a perfect example of what a man should be and he worked hard at it.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Being a friend.
If I could do it over: I would have tried medical school.
My fantasy is: I’m an astronaut. I was so terrible in math, I wouldn’t be worth a damn once I got up there, but I’d love to be at the blastoff.
The one thing I can’t stand: Eggs of any kind. I haven’t eaten one since I was 6 years old.
If I could change one thing about myself: I wouldn’t have quit those piano lessons way back when.
Most humbling experience: I was on an airplane that crash-landed at La Guardia Airport in New York. I walked away with a deep appreciation for a lot of things, not to mention living and breathing.
The three words that best describe me: Friendly, hard-working and genuine.
