Paul M. Sievert, 85, of Medinah and formerly of Oak Park, former president of Sievert Electric Sales & Service, died Tuesday of pneumonia at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Born in Chicago, Mr. Sievert also was president of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association. He attended Concordia High School in River Forest. He earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Valparaiso University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern. In 1941, Mr. Sievert joined Sievert Electric, which his grandfather founded in 1913. He took over as president from his father in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Anna P.; two daughters, Karla and Susan; a son, Peter; two brothers, Carl and Clarence; a sister, Cordula Smith; four granddaughters; and two grandsons. A funeral was held Friday.
