I’m writing to express my appreciation for the “Readers share memories of the 1900s” letters. I was inspired to write a memory letter, but before I sent it to you, each event I had recalled was mentioned in someone else’s letter. The pages are being put in a time capsule memory box that my family started on New Year’s Eve.

Thank you to all the people who took time to put down their memories to share. The letters have made me smile, laugh and cry, but I’ve enjoyed every one, and the remembrances they have sparked for me.
