Yannick Tremblay scored a short-handed goal with 4 minutes 14 seconds remaining in the third period and Norm Maracle made 37 saves to give Atlanta a tie with Florida.

Florida’s Pavel Bure scored his 299th career goal with 8 minutes 48 seconds left in regulation for a short-lived 3-2 lead.

But the Russian Rocket, trying to become the seventh-fastest player in NHL history to reach 300, was stopped twice in overtime on saves by Maracle.

The Atlanta goalie, who has struggled through an up-and-down season, turned aside Bure on a breakaway with 1:40 to go in the extra period, smothering a low shot.

Then Bure led a 2-on-1 with the clock winding down, firing a high shot toward the right corner of the net.

Maracle gloved the puck and held on with 20 seconds remaining, preserving the tie.

Mikhail Shtalenkov made 27 saves for the Southeast-leading Panthers, who have lost only once in their last seven games.
