Question: What does “Failed DNS lookup” mean?

DNS stands for Domain Name System. It looks up the name of a Web site and matches it to a string of numbers (similar to a phone number). Usually, those digits direct your browser to the appropriate Web server on the Net. But when a lookup fails, the server can’t be found (and you get the DNS error message). Try hitting the Reload or Refresh button. Or check the Web address and try again later.
