Joseph Carlino, 84, of Itasca died Sunday, Jan. 23, in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Born in Punxsutawney, Pa., Mr. Carlino was a self-employed contractor. He built several homes throughout his career. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mary Jane Hoey; a son, Joseph; a stepdaughter, Kathie Donner; three stepsons, Timothy Thilly, Kevin Thilly and Thomas Thilly; two sisters, Millie Russo and Mary Axen; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd., Itasca. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, 524 N. Rush St., Itasca.
