I wholeheartedly agree with Mary McCarty’s view (Commentary, Jan. 24) that many of today’s mainstream entertainment magazines have been exploiting women by portraying them as sex objects. Indeed it is interesting that most of the magazines currently exploiting women are women’s magazines. But then, what more can we expect from a society where (tragically) sex sells?
