Where are the police? Improved car seats, better seat belts, more air bags–these decrease automobile fatalities. But there is a more obvious solution–drivers, reduce your speed and obey the speed limits. Anyone who obeys the speed laws subjects himself to finger salutes, possible road rage, getting rear-ended or possibly becoming a statistic. Enforcing the speed limits will not only decrease fatalities and make the roads safer, the revenue collected from the fines would be astronomical.
