Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I am writing this after having been rudely awakened by a very annoying train whistle at 3:38 in the morning. This action on the part of the government is without doubt one of the most insidious ever perpetrated upon the American public (“Train-whistle protest gearing up, Group of mayors taking complaints to Congress,” Metro, Jan. 19, by Rogers Worthington). It falls into the category of the war experience of prisoners of war who were constantly awakened at all hours of the night for irritating interrogation.

What next? Everyone must blow his horn when going through a green traffic light just in case some stupid jerk is going through a red light going the other way? Why not? It could save some lives.
