Q. How does one keep the “flame” alive after 45 years of marriage?

A. If you believe that the “flame” consists only of sex, then you’re in trouble, because after 45 years of making love, sex is not going to be as thrilling as it was during the first year. But what you can do is make certain that the flame of your relationship is still glowing brightly. Don’t just sit in front of the television together, go out–to the movies, for dinner, with friends, to a museum. Do a variety of things together and your relationship will remain healthy–and so will your sex life.
