Re Patrick Kampert trashing Bobby Phills after his death (Tribune, Jan. 23):
Some people consider Phills a role model, not for the accident that injured others and took his life, but for the good things he accomplished during his time here.
He made a mistake. Who among us hasn’t? His cost him his life, so let’s have some compassion for his family, not get on our high horse as if we’re so much better.
