Serena Williams blasted her opponent’s weak second serve at will Sunday, routing Denisa Chladkova 6-1, 6-1 Sunday to win the $535,000 Faber Grand Prix at Hanover, Germany.

The top-seeded Williams needed 46 minutes to win the sixth title of her career. Chladkova, ranked 56th in the world, was playing in her first final of a significant tournament.

Magnus Larsson used a big serve to overcome mistakes and win his first title in the U.S. and first anywhere since 1994, defeating Byron Black 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 Sunday at the St. Jude tournament in Memphis, Tenn.

Cedric Pioline beat Tim Henman 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6, Henman’s second successive defeat in the $850,000 World Indoor final at Rotterdam, Holland.

Laura Granville of Chicago won her fourth straight match to help top-ranked Stanford defeat California in the final of the National Women’s Team Indoor Championships in Madison, Wis.
